What EPR actually looks like for EV manufacturers
Battery EPR applies to the traction packs in every vehicle you sell, and new batteries must contain a minimum share of recycled material from FY 2027-28. ELV EPR applies as well — EVs, e-rickshaws and e-carts are covered vehicles — with scrapping targets based on the steel in vehicles sold 15–20 years earlier. Tyre EPR applies only if you import vehicles fitted with new tyres.
