What EPR actually looks like for non-ferrous metal manufacturers
Non-Ferrous Metals EPR, in force from 1 April 2026, covers products of aluminium, copper, zinc and their alloys listed in Schedule X. Producers carry recycling targets that start at 10% in 2026-27 and rise to 75% by 2032-33; manufacturers register separately, collect their manufacturing scrap and are subject to recycled-content provisions. Targets are met by recycling or buying EPR certificates from registered recyclers.
