What EPR actually looks like for start-ups & MSMEs
Enterprise size matters under Plastic Packaging EPR, but only for brand owners: micro and small brand owners are exempt, while medium and large ones must register. Producers of plastic packaging and importers have no size exemption, and E-Waste EPR exempts micro enterprises entirely. Once a business grows past the small-enterprise threshold, the brand-owner obligation starts — registering at that point avoids Environmental Compensation later.
